(Un)Hidden Curriculum

Research is strongest when it is conducted by different groups of people with systemically diverse perspectives. I am passionate about breaking down the "hidden curriculum" of academia (i.e. unspoken rules, norms, and expectations) so that it is more accessible, inclusive, and stronger.

Below, I am linking resources that have been helpful for me in breaking down this unspoken knowledge! In addition to these resources, I highly recommend Dr. Jessica Calarco's book, A Field Guide to Grad School: Uncovering the Hidden Curriculum.

Furthermore, as I mention on my homepage, I am always willing discuss these topics and all things related to graduate education with prospective students; email me and we can find a time to chat! I am also happy to share my PhD application materials upon request.
